Onomatopoeia - what a big word!!!!!

An Onomatopoeia is a SOUND word.  Here are some of the sound words we came up with that we can use in our stories!

  • Crash
  • Boom
  • Thump
  • Kerplonk
  • Bump
  • Splash
  • Bang
  • Zoom
  • Tap
  • Smack
  • Slap
  • Flap
  • Clap
  • Plonk

Can you write a sentence using one of these words?

Here is an example for you.

When the book hit the table there was a big BANG!
